Numerous Labor-Endorsed Candidates Advance to November General Election

The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, congratulates all of its labor-endorsed candidates on their strong performance in the June 2 primary election.

In the City of Los Angeles, Mayor Karen Bass secured a strong showing in the June primary and advanced to the November general election, reflecting continued public confidence in her leadership and her administration’s efforts to address the city’s most pressing challenges.

In Long Beach, Mayor Rex Richardson and all labor-endorsed City Council candidates are in position to advance to the November general election. State Senator Maria Elena Durazo, a longtime advocate for labor rights and former Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, won a seat on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, marking a significant milestone for the region’s labor movement and for labor representation at the county level.
