How to file a Strike Sanction
- Receiving Strike Sanction requests
- Send LA Fed Sanction Form and Teamsters JC 42 Sanction form
- Call requesting union to identify the time and date for the strike sanction to be scheduled.
- Once forms are returned and time identified, email the Chief of Staff and the Executive Assistant the following information:
- Date of scheduled strike sanction
- Format (zoom or in person)
- Send the Executive Assistant an email with information for the specific strike sanction.
- Zoom link you would like to use if Zoom is the format
- Turnout*
- Track all RSVP’s
- Outreach to any affiliates directly impacted by the strike sanction
- Outreach to delegates and invite them to participate in the meeting
*The turnout approach varies depending on the request
- Meeting
- Call the meeting to order, and follow the agenda template
- Post Meeting
- Email Executive Assistant results of the strike sanction vote
- Executive Assistant Emails requesting union once E-Board approval has been confirmed
