Deal Reached! Musicians Secure Tentative Agreement with the AMPTP

The American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada (AFM) reached a tentative agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) on the Basic Theatrical Motion Picture and Basic Television Motion Picture contracts. 

Musicians sought a contract with fairer compensation in an increasingly digital industry and protections and safeguards from AI and automation. 

The tentative agreement has been submitted to the membership for ratification.
