Workers at PPG Sylmar Vote ‘Union Yes’

Workers at PPG Sylmar organized their union with the International Association of Machinists, seeking better wages, benefits, and healthcare.
After a long and challenging organizing fight, workers could finally cast their ballots to join the union.
With a razor-thin vote count of 176 yes votes and 175 no votes, the 400-person unit will now be represented by Machinists pending certification by the National Labor Relations Board.
