Labor Community Services Collects 1 Million Pounds of Food (and Counting) for NALC’s Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

For over thirty years, the second Saturday in May has been dedicated to the National Association of Letter Carriers ‘“Stamp Out Hunger” food drive.
This year’s effort culminated in over one million pounds of food (and counting) collected for Labor Community Services.
Food collected from the “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive will aid union members and their families in need.
Labor Community Services extends it’s most profound gratitude to the following organizations and local unions in making this year’s “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive a rousing success: NALC Branch 24, AFM 47, AFT 1521a, CLUW, CSEA, IAM, IATSE Local 80, IATSE Local 839, IATSE Western Region, Ironworkers Local 416, Ironworkers Local 433, LCLAA, Miguel Contreras Foundation, Painters DC1036, SAG-AFTRA, SEIU 121RN, SEIU Local 721 Women’s Caucus, SEIU-USWW, UFCW Local 1428, UFCW Local 770, UFW, UNAC, USW Local 675, Utilities Local 132, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, Teamsters Local 848 and US Foods.
With over one million pounds of food collected (and counting!), Labor Community Services seeks volunteers to help sort and pack. Information on how to volunteer is included below.
