This International Workers’ Day, we stand on the shoulders of our siblings in the fight against corporate greed and billionaires determined to roll back our rights.

As we mark the 20th anniversary of La Gran Marcha – the largest public protest demonstration in U.S. history – we are calling on union members across Los Angeles to join the streets once again for International Workers Day on May 1st.

We are marching to shut down the ongoing attacks on immigrants, workers, and democracy.

Event Details:

  • What: May Day / International Workers’ Day March and Rally
  • When: May 1st, 2026, 10 AM
  • Where: Beginning in MacArthur Park (corner of Park View and Wilshire)

While we encourage full participation in May Day, we do not ask anyone to take any action that would breach a no-strike clause.

Join the labor, faith, immigrant rights, and social justice movements to declare that “Workers are Rising.”

Our demands this May Day:

140 years ago, our labor movement was fighting for the 8-hour workday. This International Workers Day, we’re fighting for more:

  • Legalization and Citizenship Now!
  • Protect and Expand Voting Rights by defeating the voter suppression SAVE America Act.
  • Dump Trump’s Terror by defunding or abolishing DHS, ICE, CBP, and Border Patrol.
  • An Economy That Works for All, including taxing billionaires and corporations to fully fund safety net programs.
  • Defending Workers’ Rights by restoring the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
