DESCRIPTION:2027 LA Fed MLK Celebration\nJoin us for our Annual MLK Day Breakfast on Saturday\, January 16\, 2027 where we will be convening to inspire activists to defend our democracy from the impending changes the current administration attempts to make in favor of the 1% via our theme “Defending Democracy from the Return of Jim Crow.” Our civil rights are under attack. We see the attempts to erase the history and achievements of Black people. We see the demonization and targeting of our immigrant communities\, and the harming of our nation’s most vulnerable. This Breakfast not only helps us to empower our community activists and labor leaders\, but is also a major fundraiser supporting the work of the LA Fed.
