The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor will be hosting a booth sharing union proud swag and information about the importance of the upcoming Midterm Election.  \nWhat began as a bold idea has become Southern California’s largest free street festival. Over 21 years\, more than three million people have gathered for music\, food\, family\, culture and access to vital community resources. \nA civil-rights leader\, philanthropist and lifelong advocate for economic empowerment\, Bakewell designed Taste of Soul to strengthen the community as much as entertain it. We see the attempts to erase the history and achievements of Black people. We see the demonization and targeting of our immigrant communities\, and the harming of our nation’s most vulnerable. This Breakfast not only helps us to empower our community activists and labor leaders\, but is also a major fundraiser supporting the work of the LA Fed.
