The Miguel Contreras Foundation (MCF), in partnership with the Los Angeles County labor and business community, launched the Powered By Immigrants Campaign to ensure that Los Angeles County businesses powered by immigrants are safe and thriving work environments for both immigrant workers and their employers.
Join the Miguel Contreras Foundation and the Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce at the 5th Annual Sabor Latino Expo on August 20th to learn more about the Powered By Immigrants Campaign and the rights and protection of immigrant workers and employers.
Topics of discussion will include:
● How immigration enforcement in the workplace hurts our community, economy, and businesses that power it
● The rights and protections of immigrant workers and employers in the case of an I-9 audit or ICE workplace raid
● A robust Q&A section where employers, union leaders, and advocates can receive information from labor, immigration, and business experts
