Memorial for Angelenos Lost to COVID-19
Date: Mon, 31 Aug 2020
On the morning of Monday, August 31, we will be creating a public memorial for the over 5,600 Angelenos lost to COVID-19.
We hope to honor the lives of as many people as we can. If you would like us to place a photo in memory of your loved one, please submit a photo at this link (works on computer or mobile) by Saturday, August 29 at noon.
We also invite you to visit this memorial at any time after to bring tokens of remembrance – flowers, photos, notes, etc. – as we will be leaving the memorial to remain there open to all.
There will be a moment of silence and a short program at 10 AM to bring attention to the need for Public Health Councils to prevent community spread and protect public health at places where people gather every day – workplaces. We welcome you to attend in support (socially distanced and masked) however, any and all are welcome to visit the memorial any time after.
