All Hands on Deck

Unions across Los Angeles are bracing for a long awaited decision from the Supreme Court on Janus v. AFSCME. If the Court sides with the plaintiffs, unions in the public sector – representing firefighters, sanitation workers, nurses, teachers, and more – may no longer collect fair share contributions for the collective bargaining work they do to negotiate fair pay for workers. This case was brought in order to make it harder for working people to form unions and collectively bargain for better wages, benefits and working conditions.

In Los Angeles, unions have partnered with progressive organizations to build a far-reaching agenda to advance the rights and hopes of millions of working people across our region.

We ask you to stand #UnionStrong with your sisters and brothers when the decision occurs and be on the lookout for details on a press action happening at LA City Hall at 10 a.m. the day immediately following the decision.
