Resisting Hate

Sisters and Brothers,

Last week in Charlottesville, VA, we witnessed some of the most chilling acts of violence and hateful views by white supremacists and neo-Nazis. This domestic act of terrorism, and the ones that are continuing to come up during this administration, do not represent America’s true values. They do not represent Los Angeles. We embrace diversity and value equality.

On behalf of the Los Angeles Labor Movement, our thoughts and prayers are with all the victims, families, and friends affected by this tragic act. We condemn all forms of domestic terrorism, evil, and bigotry, and we are committed to continuing the fight for a more just world.

Today, we invite you to join Community Coalition for “From South LA to Charlottesville: Stand & Resist,” to unite our community in the face of the continued onslaught of historical oppression experienced by people of color and other marginalized groups as evidenced by white supremacists last week.

When: Friday, August 19, from 5:45 – 6:30 p.m.
