Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO (Federation) uses and protects any information that you give Federation when you use this website.

We may put you on our email newsletter list, and send an email to you. You may opt out from the list.

We may put you in our contact database and send you a letter or mail piece.

We may send you an email from one of our member unions, or one of our community allies.

To give you a rough idea of how often we send material, we send around 25 to 50 “On the Move” email newsletters per year, and one large postal mailing per year (which, in all likelihood, you will not get). We send almost no commercial messages, offers, or coupons. We send some political material. Due to Federal laws, we do not send political material about some Federal elections to persons who are not in a subset of users who are union members within our databases. If you wish to receive such information, you should send an email to news@launionaflcio•org with your union local, and it will be added to our contact database with your membership recorded. (If you don’t tell us, and we don’t know you personally, we cannot categorize you correctly.)

The two exceptions to these policies are that we may send messages to members of the Executive Board or the Delegates to the Federation even if you opt out of receiving messages.
