Measure S Stops the Progress LA Voted for Last November
This week, members of the Build Better LA Coalition who fought to pass Proposition JJJ in November, joined local apprentices just starting their careers to announce the detrimental impact Measure S would have on jobs and wages if it passes.
LA can’t afford to lose 12,000 jobs each year. But that’s what Measure S would cost us. Getting rid of thousands of jobs means also getting rid of millions in wages that working families rely on to survive.
Hardworking Angelenos depend on those wages to support their families. We can’t stay silent while they take our jobs away.
Rent is too high and wages are too low. Out of control developers and politicians need to be held accountable — of course — but Measure S would only make an already tough time for Angelenos even tougher.
Let’s make sure our city don’t get suckered with this mess of a bill. Join us tomorrow and every Saturday until March 7 as we go door-to-door and spread the word to vote NO on S. Everyone will meet at the address below for training, and then we’ll head out to get the word out. Lunch will also be provided.
