Keeping the Courage Alive

05/26/2017

Sisters and Brothers –

As we spend some time relaxing over this long holiday weekend, please take a moment to honor those heroes who may be gone, but never forgotten. We enjoy the rights and privileges we have today because of the brave men and women who gave their lives in answering the call of duty to protect our country. A sacrifice like that deserves recognition more than one day out of the year.

We can also pay tribute to them by using their same dose of courage to fight our battles here at home – a fair day’s wage for a fair day’s work, providing second chances through a good, local job, and protecting our immigrant sisters and brothers.

On behalf of the Los Angeles Labor Movement, we remember our fallen heroes and give respect to the families and friends who hold their memory close.

Thank you,
