Patients Over Politics: March on LA to Save the ACA
Date: Thu, 23 Mar 2017
Join us to support health care providers, patients, and allies on the 7th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to fight to protect our community’s access to health care.
A repeal of the ACA would be devastating for the five million Californians that rely on it, often for lifesaving medical care. In South Los Angeles alone, hundreds of thousands of people (over half of the population) would lose coverage if the ACA is repealed. We believe that would be nothing short of criminal, not to mention a direct violation of basic human rights.
The importance of health care extends beyond the individual. A catalyst for social, economic, and racial justice, health care is on the frontlines in the historic fight for equity and equality in the United States and around the world. We cannot sit this one out. We MUST RESIST.
We need YOU to bring your friends, your family, your co-workers — anyone you know who is willing to speak up for the most vulnerable populations in this country. Stand side-by-side with your neighbors to fight for justice. If we show a united front, we will surely win. #SaveObamacare #SaveTheACA#PatientsOverPolitics
